Recochem’s solutions include coolant/antifreeze, EV thermal fluids, performance fluids, diesel exhaust fluid, windshield washer fluids, car care, rust preventatives, household solvents & winterizing solutions.
This position is responsible for analyzing sales data and preparing forecasts, building 6-month rolling consensus forecasts in collaboration with the Commercial team and making continuous efforts to improve the sales forecasts for USA and Canada.
The Forecast Analyst will report on one level to the Team Leader, but also to the Demand Planning and Inventory Manager on another.
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain data integrity of the forecasting tool;
- Assign and manage statistical models at the item/customer/warehouse/segment/sales team level;
- Analyze forecasts based on historical sales, promotional plans, market trends, new product introductions, end of life and product rationalization;
- Create consensus documents for the forecast review meetings with the segment leads on a monthly basis;
- Collaborate with the Commercial team, purchasing/MRP teams and scheduling teams to ensure accuracy of the demand in the system;
- Review forecasts to identify outliers, identify the root cause and revise future forecasts;
- Promote continuous improvement of forecasting processes, procedures and policies;
- Monitor sales of new products, update forecasts and report on sales trends and inventory levels to cross-functional teams to maximize sales and minimize inventory liabilities;
- Create ad hoc reporting as necessary.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Data Analysis, Statistics or related field;
- Certified Professional Forecaster (IBF certification) an asset;
- 3-5 years of previous related work experience;
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others to deliver strong business results. (Good communication skills, both written and spoken);
- Ability to build strong and productive relationships with cross-functional teams. (Interpersonal skills);
- Ability to sort through complex data to convert analysis into insights, identify core issues and develop actionable plans. Comfortable making conclusions with incomplete information. (Analytical and problem-solving skills);
- Sense of initiative and quality improvement oriented;
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced Excel skills are required and experience with Access is preferred.
