**Position:Corporate Chef/Training Manager - Asian Brands QSR**
**Report:Senior Director of Operations**
We are seeking a talented, experienced hands-on Corporate Chef specializing in Asian cuisine to join our dynamic team in the Quick Service Industry. This role is responsible for the development and execution of processes and systems, supporting our ongoing restaurant operations in the field. You also support the development and delivery of other training materials, ensuring the successful opening of new franchised locations. You play a key role in the development and delivery of all training materials, content, and facilitation. The position will also research, develop and introduce new and or improve upon existing menu items and products to support the goals of the Asian brands. This position is not only responsible for taking a product from concept to commercialization but also to optimize operational in-store operational success and maximize store sales and profitability.
**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Identify opportunities and gaps for new products and/or revised products to support brand’s strategic initiatives.
- Identify and assess future and current training needs through ongoing analysis for Franchisees, Corporate Team Members, and location Team Members.
- Assists in companywide rollouts, menu, training materials and operational objectives alongside Operations team.
- Provide and demonstrate hands on training in the field.
- Working with the Operations Field Team and internal support departments, develop and maintain the new location opening documents.
- Creates a culture of continuous improvement and development in restaurant operations.
- Thoroughly understands all training materials and the methods for implementation.
- Develop, promote, and convey new training ideas to the Team.
- Responsible for developing the content and supporting materials to provide initial and ongoing training for Franchisees/Managers
- Possesses all training documentation and is responsible for continuity and accuracy of all documents.
- Assist in roll-out of new innovations (products), LTOs, and menu related processes by training the field team through a “train the trainer” and/or directly with franchisees.
- Deploy a wide variety of training methods.
- Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, technology, and best practices.
- Demonstrates high standards of personal excellence by continually seeking ways to improve and setting & working to achieve goals.
- Function in the capacity of product-based project leader for product development programs from ideation / inception through introduction and full roll-out.
- Coordinate all product field tests (live, in-store testing) and Senior Brand Team tasting/testing.
- Compile, evaluate and analyze test results to provide recommendations and next steps (include food costs, margins, and overall effect on store P&L).
- Continuously monitor market developments / competitive trends and sources of supply with respect to nutrition for each brand’s menu and make recommendations for changes / improvements.
- Develop and refine specifications for new and/or improved products; develop processing parameters at processor level, identify and establish quantifiable objective product standards.
- Work closely with Operations, Purchasing, and Brand Marketing in communicating the technical information related to new product test programs. This includes ordering any products required for Research & Development and management of sample inventory.
- Lead on-going analysis and tracking of brand, category and market activity as related to new product launches and/or LTOs and staying cognisant of gross margins, product costs and overall food costs and store P&L
- Execute LTOs in conjunction with Marketing Calendar and coordinated with Supply Chain and Marketing
- Design, production, and distribution of Operations Guides in conjunction with training department for new innovations, LTOs, and operational processes
- Assist with training and provide hands on live support during new store openings, ensuring operational procedures and recipes are being followed.
- Stay abreast of food and beverage trends and menu development strategy of competitors.
- Assist with the development and testing of all packaging.
- Assist with preparation, styling, and guidance of menu items for photo shoots including ordering products and assistance to Marketing as required.
- Responsible for menu reengineering: SKU optimization, food cost reduction, menu offer improvement.
- Initiate financial/profitability impact of new or improved test items as it relates to system profitability for Limited Time Offers and/or full system implementation (identifying food cost and impact on overall store P&L)
- Assist with POS programming and logistics as it relates to new products, LTOs and menu items.
