Recreation Facility Operator

Calgary, Canada Oakridge Community Centre Full time

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the completion of the daily tasks designed to ensure and maintain a safe and welcoming environment at Oakridge Community Centre.

**Job Duties**:

- Maintain arena ice surface by operating the resurfacing, edging and other equipment required to flood, shave, measure and maintain ice surface in optimal condition.
- Ensure all documentation related to building, equipment and ice operations is updated.
- Complete snow and ice removal of arena area including sidewalks, parking, and pathways.
- Be available for user groups by remaining on premises, in public.
- Assist in the preparation of events and programs including setting up and taking down of equipment, putting up event signage and blocking parking lot as required.
- Perform janitorial work including using floor machine, cleaning showers and washrooms, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness at entrances, lobbies, these duties include sweeping and mopping the rink restrooms, locker rooms, shower areas, lobby, meeting rooms, bleachers and removing trash, changing lights, cleaning rink glass, etc

**Qualifications**:

- Current First Aid
- Proof of a clear Police Information Check including a Vulnerable Sector Search or will complete one upon hiring.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience
- Must have a valid drivers’ license.
- Comfortable using a variety of computer programs.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
