**FORKLIFT OPERATOR / ORDER PICKER**

We carry a full line of professional grade building products, such as dimensional lumber and lumber sheet goods and various window, door, millwork lines and custom order floor and truss packages, stairs, custom millwork and trim, and interior and exterior doors. We also offer an extensive range of construction-related services, including design services, product installation, and turn-key framing.

Construx Building Products is a rapidly growing building materials supplier. We are looking for an energetic, motivated individual that is organized and able to work independently to join our team as a Forklift Operator / Order Picker.

This position is critical to the accurate picking of orders, efficient flow of materials in and out of the manufacturing facility and loading and unloading of delivery trucks. Pride, care and organization of the yard is a direct reflection of our operations and critical to this role. The yard must always be impeccably maintained for the safety of workers / customers and for efficient mobility of vehicles / material loading in and out of the premises.

While working in the yard, our operators take care of a multitude of tasks with and without the use of a forklift including the following:

- Picking and bundling lumber orders accurately, efficiently and on schedule as per sales order specifications
- Loading trucks with the appropriate orders and confirming all items are ready for timely delivery
- Always ensuring the efficiency and organization of the yard
- Clear, concise communication with staff regarding yard conditions and material shortages.

**Job Requirements**

The following qualifications are required:

- Valid driver’s licence and a means of reliable transportation, as there is no public transportation to the yard location
- Must be reliable and show up for work punctually
- Must have a valid forklift operator certification
- Must be physically fit and capable of heavy manual labour (lifting / moving 50lbs)
- Strong hand eye coordination and spatial awareness
- High attention to detail and extremely organized
- Great communicator and ability to follow directions
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Consistently maintains a superior standard of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Lumber yard experience is an asset
- Mechanical experience is an asset
