**Job Summary**
We are looking for an Experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Our goal is to find a Pharmacy Technician who is a strong typer that is able to manage prescription drop-off. This position will mainly be responsible for typing prescriptions and making relationships with patients. This position will also support prescription workflow and help with day-to-day responsibilities such as technical blister pack checking.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Data entry of patient and prescription information, following legal conditions and assessing the prescription for completeness and accuracy
- I.e Name, address, DOB, allergies, 3rd party billing information, prescriber, etc.
- Adjudicate claims to third-party payor in accordance with the Pharmacy Standards of

Practice; review and adjust third-party adjudication records
- Managing patient refills
- Assist our Pharmacists with the preparation, packaging, technical checks and distribution of medications
- Ensuring that the appropriate drugs are selected with visual and DIN checks. Accounting for the correct amount of medication being dispensed with proper labelling in accordance with the Pharmacy of Standards of Practice
- Manage incoming faxes and type as per required urgency
- Contact new patients when faxes arrive to ensure the fax was sent to the correct pharmacy and confirm allergies and insurance before filling.
- Assisting in maintaining and managing inventory control with the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager.
- Making accurate drug files
- Making accurate drug files for compounds and making compounds

- *Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
- *3 years of pharmacy experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Kroll® pharmacy system preferred
- Able to type 60WPM
- Valid drivers license

**Hours and Compensation**
- Monday - Friday 9:00 am
- 5:00 pm (able to work weekends when necessary)
- 40hrs/week
- Starting wage is $30 per hour
- Excellent compensation package based on experience

We are located in a medical office comprising 5 family physicians, who all practice full-scope care. We work closely with these practitioners to provide the best therapeutic care to our patients. We are a clinically-focused pharmacy and will have great support working alongside physicians, pharmacists and pharmacy assistants.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30-40 per week

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
