Location: Near Peggy’s Cove, NS Company: Wilderness Stays Limited Join Our Innovative Team at Wilderness Stays Limited We have an exceptional opportunity for a Handy person multi-skilled construction worker at our campground currently under construction near the scenic Peggy’s Cove. Wilderness Stays Limited is seeking a dynamic, adaptable individual who has a broad range of construction skills or a keen willingness to learn. This role is an excellent fit for someone passionate about contributing to versatile outdoor spaces and eager to expand their skill set in a nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform tasks in carpentry, plumbing, roofing, and painting,. Execute earthworks, mechanical work, welding, engaging in "black trades" and operate machinery such as power tools, chainsaws, mills, and chippers Handle rigging, working at height, and operate vehicles with trailers Participate in drilling and blasting operations, with the opportunity to learn and receive education in these areas Employ skills in computer planning and design for project development. Also UAV Familiarity would be a benefit. Work independently when required, demonstrating initiative and self-direction Serve as a drilling or blasting assistant in our sister company as needed by project demands Experience in a broad range of construction tasks including carpentry, plumbing, roofing, painting, earthworks, mechanical work, rigging, working at height, drilling, blasting, welding, and "black trades" Comfortable operating chainsaws, mills, chippers, and driving vehicles with trailers Skills in computer planning and design are highly desirable Must possess a willingness to learn, a positive and conscientious attitude, and the ability to adapt to various roles A strong work ethic, the ability to work independently at times, and a team player Driven by a commitment to excellence and the determination to complete tasks effectively and efficiently What We Offer: Full time Employment 40 hours a week plus Competitive pay rates: per hour, depending on experience bi-weekly pay 90-day probation/trial period Professional development opportunities in specialized areas Benefits package available upon the successful operation of the campground Work Environment: At Wilderness Stays Limited, you’ll join a team that values dedication, learning, and respect.
