DSI - Sturgeon Falls is one of the largest manufacturing facilities in the area and seeking enthusiastic and devoted individuals to join the Production Team. These individuals will be mainly responsible for manufacturing raw materials into finished goods using numerous automated machines.

**This position is permanent full-time - 40 hours per week,**
Performing all the HR duties and carrying all the functions and tasks of HR including but not limited to recruiting, interviewing, hiring new staff, on-boarding, attracting, motivating, and retaining the most qualified talent. This role would be responsible for handling employee-related services, regulatory compliance, and employee/labour relations, among many other tasks.
Will provide support to our Sturgeon Falls and Saskatoon facilities. Responsible for ensuring that the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of human resources plans, and programs are realized.
**_Position will be situated in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario. _**
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Be a point of contact for employees as well as management inquiries with regard to HR policies, procedures and programs.
- Oversees and supports the site Administrative Assistant.
- Works closely with the HR team located at various sites across Canada.
- Ensure that all legislated requirements are followed.
- Integrate effective HR programs and processes into daily operations.
- Organize and maintain electronic personnel files, prepare new hire packages, as well as update internal tracking documents.
- Facilitate and administer a full cycle recruitment process including updating of job descriptions, posting of advertisements, pre-screening of resumes, interviewing, completing reference checks, negotiating offers and administration.
- Prepare and administer all on-boarding and documentation for new hires including pension and benefits enrolment.
- Support disability management program.
- Assist the payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules as well as conduct payroll audits for the site).
- Work with all levels within the organization.
- Advise and coach supervisors and leadership on employee relation situations.
- Provide basic training and develop training modules as required.
- Manage and administer vacation tracking, absence management, as well as performance reviews.
- Provide support on disciplinary process and make appropriate recommendations.
- Generate and roll out employee surveys.
- Support employee engagement initiatives at the site.
- Ensure business practices adhere to human resources policies and labour laws.
**Qualification and Requirements**
- Bachelor of Commerce or Administration and/or relevant education
- 5 years’ proven experience as a Human Resources Generalist
- HR designation is preferred
- Thorough knowledge of labour laws
- Excellent computer and organizations skills
- Ability to prioritize important projects
- Great negotiation skills
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, reading, and writing
- Solid investigation skills
**Physical Requirements**
