The Nooks is expanding our Retail Sales Team and we currently hiring a _**Retail Store Supervisor**_ at Mapleview Centre in Burlington Ontario. We are looking for people who value what we value - customer experience, community connections. The Nooks is the first Artisan Retail Business Incubator in Canada Our unique retail model combines in store space, a ‘nook’ with an online marketplace for handmade, small businesses to grow a successful retail business We give makers 100% of their sales in exchange for a monthly membership fee.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Ensure our customers have a positive and lasting impression of their experience
- Welcoming, engaging and connecting with our customers in-store, by phone and online
- Learning about makers’ products and sharing your expertise with customers
- Assisting customers locate and select products and by making customer specific suggestions to encourage product purchases
- Resolving issues effectively at store level in a timely and positive manner
- Processing point of sale transactions quickly and accurately
- Staying current, understanding and communicates The Nooks policies and well as the wide range of services and events offered
- Ensuring the store is visually appealing contributes to company standards through product presentation, replenishment, store housekeeping, store maintenance and visual displays
- Assign daily tasks and supervise retail sales associates
- Provide the Store Manager with regular updates on store level sales and activities

RETAIL SALES SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
- Must have experience, and be comfortable using, a variety of computer software programs
- 3+ years experience in sales, retail, or customer service environments
- 1+ years experience in a leadership position in sales, retail or customer service environment
- Knowledge of business administration is a plus

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Burlington, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
