**Medical Office Manager**
Clinic Manager wanted for a 8 doctor family medicine clinic
- Family Health Organization (FHO)
- using PS Telus Suite EMR. The clinic is located near Montfort Hospital.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Coordination of the day to day operations of the practice
- Supervision of patient scheduling, registration, financial counseling, medical records, OHIP, WSIB and Third Party billing and collection, data entry and processing, and cash posting
- Interview, hire, and train a productive medical office team and conduct performance reviews
- Coordinate staff meetings for administrative and clinical staff
- Ensure staffing is appropriate for day to day operations
- Ensure patient satisfaction, including troubleshooting when there is a complaint and developing process improvements to prevent recurrences.
- Develop, implement, and maintain office policies and procedures
- Ensure the practice is running efficiently and effectively
- Maintain supplies and equipment for the medical setting
- Liaise with doctors to identify potential office dysfunctions
- Ensure compliance of current healthcare regulations, labour laws, privacy laws and ethical standards
- General accounting
**Knowledge, Skills and Ability**:
- Must have **previous experience managing a medical clinic**:
- **Bilingualism is an asset** but not a necessity (French and English)
- Post-secondary education is an asset
- Understanding of the **Telus PS suite EMR** is an asset but must have skills with healthcare software and computer systems
- Proficiency in the use of clinic technology such as Ocean, Pamela portal is an asset
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
- Excellent at communication and conflict resolution
- Work well with others
- Skills in bookkeeping is an asset
- Must be able to preform in stressful situations
- Having a knowledge of medical issues and terminology
- Excellent time-management skills
- Human resources experience in hiring, supervision, and performance reviews
- Strong customer service skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with clinicians, nurses, allied health staff, administrative staff, frontline staff, contractors, governmental agencies, insurance payers, patients, family members of patients, suppliers, and the general public, of all age levels from child to senior citizen
- Mature and professional demeanor
**We would like you to be there during regular business hours Monday to Friday (8:00 to 4:00) (with flexibility for start and stop time).**
**Salary to be determined based on experience and education.**
**Position to start immediately for training.**
