**Job Overview**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that every guest enjoys their experience at our café.

**Duties**
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order taking and payment processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and dining spaces.
- Handle food preparation tasks, including preparing light snacks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards during food handling and preparation.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities, including balancing cash drawers at the end of shifts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while effectively managing time to meet service goals.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering practices is beneficial.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus; certification in food handling is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming environment for customers.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.40-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
