**Position Overview**:
The General Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing successful operation of a single branch.

Managers are expected to lead their teams by example and act in accordance with the values and standards set forth by the Company. Managers are ultimately responsible for contributing to positive and supportive work environments that empower personnel to succeed individually and collectively.

**Organizational Status**:
The General Operations Manager reports to the Executive Team. The General Operations Manager oversees and collaborates with the department Team Leads and supervises and directs the activities of all employees working in the branch including the Repair & Home Modification Department.

**Hours**:

- Full time, variable
- As negotiated and required by the Company

**Work Environment**:

- Indoors, rare outdoors- Well-lit retail environment most times; occasional warehouse environment; rare unpredictable outside environment- Standing, walking, climbing stairs, using phone, computer, and other electronic devices, manual hand dexterity, crouching/kneeling/bending/reaching/pushing/pulling/grasping/lifting/sitting
- PPE: Gloves should be worn when handling boxes and box cutters, gloves should be worn during and handwashing observed before and after customer fittings, high-vis vest should be worn when exposed to any motorized vehicle or machine (Alberta Occupational Health & Safety Code)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Developing and annually re-evaluating long-term branch operational objectives and associated key performance indicators in collaboration with the Executive Team- Developing short-term goals for the branch, directing their implementation, and reporting results to the Executive Team on at least a quarterly basis- Overseeing overall branch operation and compliance with minimum standards for services and products offered by the Company and actively auditing or stepping into any personnel role to achieve superior operational efficiency, work environment safety, and branch profitability- Overseeing facility management and improvement under Executive Team direction- Overseeing branch financial activities including reconciliation of cash deposits and customer present transactions, budget management and reporting, third-party billing management and reporting, and other activities as requested by Finance & Accounting- Overseeing branch implementation of and adherence to Company marketing directives and planograms to deliver a consistent consumer shopping experience and encourage retail sales- Overseeing branch management of physical and electronic movement of all stock and inventoried non-stock items, including but not limited to activities surrounding purchasing, receiving, return to vendor, location and branch transfers, bin transfers, other inventory control activities, and all order fulfillment channels (backorders, e-commerce, retail, customer pickup, direct distribution, third party shipping, equipment trial, and other)- Overseeing branch implementation of employee engagement directives, nurturing innovation, and empowering branch team members to build compassionate work culture- Directing and participating in interdepartmental and inter branch management meetings and communicating relevant interdepartmental and Company procedures and announcements with all direct and indirect reports- Learning, implementing, teaching, and maintaining cloud-based ERP, WMS, hand scanners, and other technology (software and hardware)- Collaborating with personnel in all departments and alternate locations to maintain the highest level of operational excellence and provide a superior customer experience- Building customer loyalty by personally providing exemplary customer service during each customer interaction- Preparing reports for Management, as requested- Hiring, terminating, and succession planning for branch personnel in collaboration with Human Resources- Coaching and documenting performance of all branch personnel, scheduling and executing personnel performance reviews, and enacting Company progressive discipline procedures according to expectations set by Human Resources- Overseeing training of all personnel, designating and auditing trainers, and developing and executing improvements in department training programs- Creating
