Department Learning Leader at Mill Site

West Rock Inc. is looking for a **Department Learning Leader** for the International Paper Mill site office preferably with some previous training/teaching experience. This position is a Full-time Monday to Friday position, with the possibility of extended hours when required.
The Department Learning Leader ensures consistency of the training program for all area team members and alignment with department goals.
As the champion/advocate for the training program, this role is an integral part of the department team and interacts directly with Trainees, Trainers, Mentors, Subject Matter Experts, and Department Leadership. The Department Learning Leader gets direction from the Department Leadership and Mill Learning Leader.
**Duties include but are not limited to**:
- Manage and maintain the department training program and records
- Ensure corporate and mill safety/environmental information (policy, rules, procedures, expectations, etc.) is detailed in the mill’s training program
- Act as a role model for demonstrating obligatory safety and environmental behaviors
- Participate in the establishment of Individual Development Plans for department team members
- Coordinate formation of department specific training materials including standard operating procedures (SOPs), e-courses. reference documents, learning activities, and instructor lead presentations
- Coach Trainees, Trainers, and Subject Matter Experts
- Participate in learner assessments, reviews, and evaluations
- Provide timely constructive 1-to-1 feedback to learners, trainers, and managers
- Identify and address barriers in the training process
- Develop, maintain, and update training material
- Create and manage training records
- Other tasks as assigned

**Qualifications**
The successful applicants must have the following:
- Grade 12 or Diploma
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong self-motivation
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong learning orientation and ability to adapt to change
- Ability to travel internationally if required.
