Role and Responsibilities Summary Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources and working in partnership with the Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions, the incumbent is a member of the HR and Civil Aviation Leadership teams. The incumbent acts as a strategic business partner for CAE’s Civil Aviation organization and collaborates closely with the business unit leaders and their respective teams to develop and execute the HR strategies that foster growth and innovation in accordance with CAE’s values and ensure a dynamic, diverse and inclusive culture. Additionally, the incumbent, as a member of the CAE HRLT, plays a leadership role in the development and implementation of global HR strategies and initiatives to support CAE’s strategic plan. In this critical leadership role, the incumbent will play an essential role in advancing the evolution of CAE’s culture to support our vision to become a high-tech organization. This leader has responsibility for a team of HR professionals supporting the Civil Aviation business units, located in multiple locations worldwide. Main Responsibilities- Lead the development and execution of the HR strategy to support and guide the Civil Aviation organization in a period of significant growth and transformation;- Provide leadership and support to the Civil Aviation Group President and the leadership team with various business initiatives with a focus on driving business growth and the talent agenda;- Coach senior leaders to actively manage change and improve organizational effectiveness through workforce strategy, organizational design, and talent management;- Drive HR Civil Aviation strategic plan with metrics/KPIs that support business, financial and human capital goals;- Champion people development as a strategic business imperative and anticipate talent needs, using workforce plans to develop sourcing strategies;- Develop and implement succession plans for key positions and create internal development plans to ensure a strong pipeline of top talent;- Provide advice and coaching to Civil Aviation leadership team;- Foster a culture of innovation and ensure the organization continues to prioritize diversity and inclusion creating an environment that ensures equity and respect for all employees;- Deliver expert consulting support to diagnose and resolve complex problems, while positively driving change;- Play a strong leadership role in driving the cultural evolution within Civil Aviation and across CAE;- Build a framework to standardize the HR services and policies in line with CAE Global HR and multiple country legislations;- Collaborate with the Corporate HR Centers of Excellence to ensure successful creation and deployment of corporate initiatives;- Contribute to the development of the HR global strategy by playing a leadership role in developing and deploying the strategic initiatives;- Lead and develop a high performing human resources team; Encourage and drive knowledge retention and best practice sharing across the organization and structure the team to provide maximum benefit to the organization; Requirements/Qualifications- University Degree preferably in HR, business or management. Master’s Degree in HR or MBA preferred;- Fifteen years+ of HR experience with a minimum of 8 years leading experienced HR Leaders;- Experience working in a Global organization, working in the aviation industry would be an asset;- Demonstrated expertise in building talent, engaging teams, driving culture change and strategic growth;- Strong business acumen, analytical and financial knowledge to make fact-based decisions;- Able to think strategically & ability to translate strategy into execution and tactics;- Strong leadership skills with an ability to develop, maintain and leverage trusting relationships (up and down organizations); Engaging leadership style with a progressive mindset;- Passion for results; constantly thinking of ways to positively impact the business in an ethical and integrity-based manner;- Strong leadership style to drive change management initiatives;- - Experience in Executive Coaching, training and development;- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities; possess a high energy level and stamina- Ability to work across different cultures, different time zones and working remotely;- Effective communication skills - written, verbal and listening skills.
