_**Parkview Home**_ prides itself in its excellent care and staff commitment to our Residents and their unique needs.

Parkview Home is a 128 bed fully Accredited Long-Term Care Home operating under the Long-Term Care Homes Act 2007 regulations. The Home has been owned and operated by The Mennonite Home Association of York County for more than fifty years.

**Qualifications/Skills/Education**
- A diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure, Therapeutic Recreation, Activation, Social Service Worker - Gerontology, Kinesiology, or related program of study.
- Minimum one year of experience in Long Term Care.
- AIS certificate for RAI documentation
- Knowledge of the domains of wellness and experience with program planning and facilitation.
- Current experience working in long term care
- experience working with individuals with Alzheimer’s/Dementia an asset
- Ability to effectively document resident participation in Activity Pro.
- Knowledge of care planning and MDS coding.
- Good oral and Written Communication.
- Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Must demonstrate a warm, Caring Attitude towards Residents.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the development of recreation and leisure services.
- Implement the day to day programming needs of Residents
- Assess Resident recreation and leisure needs.
- Evaluate recreational programs based on Resident needs and in compliance with

Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021.
- Completion of necessary documentation required by the facility and regulatory bodies

such as daily attendance records, progress notes, care plans and assessments.
- Supervise volunteers and students during programs.
- Assist in monthly activity calendar planning.
- Assist with quality assurance activities.
- Maintain competency through professional self-development, by participating in in
- services, workshops and conferences.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
