**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Reporting to the Lifestyles Manager the **Lifestyle Assistant** is responsible for assisting with the planning and delivery of lifestyle and recreational programs/activities for residents in accordance with company policies/procedures and legislative requirements.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
- Assist with the facilitation of recreational activities and exercise programs
- Supervising resident outings and assisting with loading/unloading the bus
- Assist with special events including the serving of food and alcoholic beverages.
- Continuously follow the principles of “good customer service” and ensure that these values are demonstrated in day to day practices
- Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with team, residents and families as well as external community resources
- **This is a part time position. This is a set schedule that is mostly days with the occasional Tuesday/Thursday evening shift. The schedule is posted 2 weeks in advance.**:

- **Must be available to work alternating weekends and help cover sick and vacation shifts.**

**WHO YOU ARE**
- _**Post-Secondary education in recreation/leisure program at a College level of certification**_**.**
- **Experience in facilitation of social, emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual programs with the senior population.**_
- Fitness Certification (e.g. Can-Fit Pro) preferred.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Maintains a current certificate in CPR/First Aid.
- Valid driver’s license (F) asset. _**Smart Serve Required**_upon hire.
- Demonstrate sound organization and English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be able to provide a police check with vulnerable sector screen upon hire
- Must be able to provide a record of immunization for TB 2 step test upon hire.

Must be fully vaccinated. (2 doses)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $19.98 per hour

Expected hours: 21 - 23 per week
