Founded in 1982, The Greater Vancouver International Film Festival Society is a not-for-profit cultural organization that operates the internationally acclaimed Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) and the year-round programming of the theatres at the VIFF Centre.

Every year VIFF hosts hundreds of screenings, talks, special events and unique educational programs designed to share the power of cinema with thousands of film fans and engaged communities. **ABOUT THE POSITION**

We're looking for an extraordinary addition to our team, someone highly motivated, creative, and processoriented with a passion for social media marketing and the arts. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and collaborating closely with the whole marketing department, Programming, Customer Service, Corporate Partnerships, and Philanthropy departments, you'll support a variety of dynamic initiatives. Together, we're on a mission to engage new and loyal audiences, build a robust brand, and increase our earned revenue.

As the Social Media and Marketing Content Manager, you'll be a driving force behind our brand's narrative, forging new and stronger connections within our vibrant community. Your influence and creativity will be pivotal in executing and shaping our dynamic marketing strategies through meticulously crafted social media campaigns. This role will also champion the creation of captivating marketing collateral that goes beyond the expected.

From eye-catching photography to compelling video packages, you'll be the maestro coordinating designers, photographers and videographers, helping to weave VIFF's story into the hearts and minds of our diverse audiences and stakeholders. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Design, implement and track a social media strategy that aligns with VIFF’s marketing objectives and integrates VIFF’s strategic priorities and values.
- Update yearly social media goals, KPIs, guides & timelines. Analyze results and provide monthly reports and recommendations on best practices.
- Manage VIFF’s social media channels. Create, coordinate and post content on all VIFF’s social media platforms, including promotional content, live event coverage, contests and campaigns that promote the VIFF brand, and support membership and fundraising initiatives.
- Create and post content related to community partners, stakeholders and sponsorship deliverables.
- Engage with followers and monitor/reply to customer inquiries through social channels.
- Manage relationships with external social media agencies, including briefing, contracting, onboarding, and monitoring.
- Manage the production of the year-round printed calendar and in-cinema slides.
- Manage the production of promotional videos for our ongoing year-round film series and trailer packages.
- Manage the capture, file management and archiving of Festival and year-round video and photography.
- Manage the post-festival editing, packaging and distribution of video content, photography and podcasts.
- Support the Director of Marketing with budget projections.
- Manage and track budgets for social media campaigns, calendar production and video/photograph capture and editing.
- Recruit, onboard and manage VIFF’s video/photography contract positions, marketing volunteers and external social media agency support
