**Installer**

The Installer is responsible for packaging, loading, traveling and installing our company’s furniture for our clients. It is essential the installer can carry out all responsibilities correctly to ensure efficiency and quality meets our standards for our clients. Key responsibilities, competencies and qualifications are as follows.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Key responsibilities are as follows:

- Read, understand and follow shop drawings and blue prints.
- Travel to job sites to obtain site measurements and site photos as required by UNCI management.
- Package and load furniture products in enclosed trailer or pallets so they can be shipped safely and securely.
- Communicate with client, GC’s, or millworkers on site to discuss install logistics on site to best utilize your time.
- Offloading shipments at sites and in the UNCI shop
- Travel across Canada/US to complete installations. Travel will take place by driving or flying - depending on the final destinations.
- Be capable of safely hooking up pull behind trailers and towing them to sites as required.
- Have customers sign off on all installations when complete.
- Troubleshoot and fix on-site problems as they may arise.
- Be capable of learning the upholstery trade and basic carpentry so these skill sets can be utilized on site as needed.
- Complete company work orders and onsite repairs as required by UNCI Management.
- When not installing, work in the UNCI shop in different area’s as required by UNCI Management.
- Maintain proper care of tools and site areas clean.
- Work with another UNCI installer.
- All travel, accommodations, and meals are covered by UNCI.

**Tools and Equipment Used**

Employee must know how to use the following tools:

- Measuring tape (imperial & metric)
- Power saws
- Power tools
- Air tools
- Adhesives
- Hand tools

The employee needs to meet occupational health and safety regulations and wear the appropriate safety equipment while on site or in the back shop floor:

- Steel toe boots (REQUIRED on shop floor and applicable job sites)
- Industrial gloves, eye protection, hard hat (Optional - is NOT required on shop floor)

**Qualifications Required**
- Grade 12 diploma or GED equivalent
- Carpentry knowledge
- Upholstery knowledge
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Capable of pulling trailers
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to use power, air and hand tools
- Communicate with colleagues, clients and suppliers
- Read, write & speak english clearly
- Positive attitude, motivated, & willing to Learn

**Salary**: From $19.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:
