Surrey Place wishes to recruit a dynamic leader to the position of Vice President, Finance & Information Communication Technology (VP, Finance & ICT).This individual will be responsible for the overall management, direction and leadership of the Financial Services, Information & Communication Technology and Charitable Foundation areas of the organization and plays a key role in supporting Surrey Place with alternative service funding models amidst system transformation.

Surrey Place provides specialized clinical services that are responsive to individual’s needs and promote health and well-being in the Toronto region. Surrey Place helps children and adults living with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder and visual impairments reach their full potential. We offer a variety of groups and workshops for clients, families and caregivers, as well as extensive education and consultation services to community agencies.

Our comprehensive programs and services, provided by a broad network of clinicians and professionals, range from assessment, diagnosis, and one-on-one treatment to family counselling and group support. Surrey Place is accredited with Accreditation Canada and is affiliated with the University of Toronto and other academic institutions and is a teaching site for students in a variety of health care professions. Surrey Place employs approximately 550 employees, with 12 locations in the Greater Toronto Area and we also provide video-conferencing services to communities in northwestern Ontario. Surrey Place has an operating budget of approximately $100M and provides exemplary services to over 6,000 clients, families and caregivers annually.

We wish to recruit a dynamic leader to the role of Vice President, Finance & Information Communication Technology (VP, Finance & ICT). Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the VP, Finance & ICT is responsible for the overall management, direction and leadership of the Financial Services, Information & Communication Technology and Charitable Foundation areas of the organization and plays a key role in supporting Surrey Place with alternative service funding models amidst system transformation. As a member of the Executive Team, the VP, Finance & ICT leads a team of 23 staff, participates in strategic planning, provides change leadership and is responsible for the planning and execution of the approved operating budget and operating plan, consistent with Surrey Place’s mission, vision and values.

You hold a professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) and a minimum of ten years relevant senior management experience in finance and ICT. You bring that rare combination of experience with both not-for-profit funding and paid-service models, along with outstanding competency in managing support services in an organization the size and complexity of Surrey Place. Demonstrated experience in leading change, financial forecasting and modeling, ICT strategy or ICT security are definite assets. You are a strategic, values-based leader with superior interpersonal and communications skills and an outstanding problem solver who effectively builds trust and works collaboratively with others to help realize Surrey Place’s vision of Living your potential - All your Life
