**Position Summary**

The Food Production Worker consistently produces high quality meat and meat related products for retail and food service customers. This position also completes the production process from product selection to boxing and palletizing, in an effective manner.

**Key Accountabilities**

**Accountability: Food Production** (45% of time)
- Cutting, trimming and portioning as necessary
- Assembling food products
- Processing food as required (breading, patty making, skewering, etc.)
- Other duties as may be assigned

**Accountability: Packaging** (45% of time)
- Wrapping, vacuum packing, boxing and preparing packaging for the end customer
- Moving packaged product to the assigned area
- Other duties as may be assigned

**Accountability: Sanitizing** (10% of time)
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas between processes and after use
- Ensuring food safe procedures are followed to avoid cross contamination
- Ensuring personal sanitization standards are met
- Other duties as may be assigned

**Skills and Competency Requirements**
- Organize and prioritize tasks to ensure successful and efficient completion within established timelines
- Work independently while following precise instructions and formulas
- Communicate clearly with co-workers
- Be an effective team player to achieve set out goals and contribute to a positive workplace
- Follow health and safety rules and practices

**Knowledge, Experience and Education**
- Basic knowledge of various types of meat products would be an asset
- Basic knowledge of the food safe principles and practices
- Hand dexterity and the ability to multitask
- Experience in meat processing or retail would be considered an asset
