Shipper/receiver

We are looking to hire a “**Shipper/Receiver”** to join our Warehouse team.

**Main Responsibilities will include (but not limited to)**:
**Shipping**:

- Prepare documentation and maintain records as required for each area.
- Schedule outbound shipments.
- Prepare boxes and affixes shipping labels or stencils identifying shipping information as required.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Examine shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Pack seal and label materials accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to shipping and receiving procedures.
- Receive incoming goods and enter data into ERP receiving system.
- Utilize Courier program for small shipments.
- Pick customer orders, as required to meet deadline(s).
- Perform container check and load trucks accordingly to load plan.
- Other duties that may be assigned to the Employee from time to time.

**Receiving**:

- Receive incoming goods and enter data into ERP receiving system.
- Perform container checks and unload trucks with the use of MHE.
- Perform random weight checks of raw materials prior to receiving.
- Move Quality Control product to the required locations; (quarantined product from receiving to QC rack and released product from QC rack to pick location).
- Other duties that may be assigned to the Employee from time to time.

**Shift Schedule**:7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

**Rate**:$20.00 per hour

**Requirements include**:

- A minimum of 1 year of forklift experience loading and unloading containers is required.
- Completion of grade 12.
- Ability to work safely and maintain a clean work area.
- Physically fit, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work with scanners, measuring tools and scales.
- Solid understanding of inventory controls and principles.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Good reasoning skills, with the ability to assess a situation and find the logical answer.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish good working relationships with others.
- Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Effective organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.

**Education & Experience**:

- Completion of Grade 12.
- Minimum two (2) years related experience.
- Minimum one (1) year of forklift experience loading and unloading containers is required.
- Experience with computers and ERP or other data entry systems would be an asset.
- Working knowledge in GMP, HACCP, and other food quality & safety regulations would be an asset.
- SAP knowledge will be considered an asset.
