**Required Abilities, Qualifications and Experience**:

- eligible to be registered with the College of Psychologists BC (CPBC) upon completion of a**Master's degree in school/educational psychology
- currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in school/educational psychology at a university with qualifications that meet the standard for membership in the College of Psychologists BC (CPBC)
- professional teaching certificate preferred
- completed coursework in professional ethics for school psychologists
- qualified to administer and interpret up to and including Level C Educational, Psychological, and Behavioural Tests under the supervision of a registered school psychologist
- current knowledge of Ministry of Education, Special Education Policies and Procedures
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- demonstrated ability in consulting with teachers, parents, students and community agencies regarding the nature of students, strengths and needs, their educational implications, and ways to enhance learning and interpersonal relations
- demonstrated ability in working with School-Based Teams, multi-disciplinary teams and Community Inter-Agency Care Teams
- demonstrated ability to assist in the development of IEPs for referred students
- willing to gather and prepare file reviews and all pre-referral documentation for psycho-educational assessments under the guidance of a registered school psychologist
- applicants must possess a valid BC Driver's License and have the use of a vehicle
