Banquet Server

Courtyard Prince George is recruiting for Casual Banquet Servers to join our on-call list We offer a wide array of in-house catering services including business and social events. The Banquet Server ensures the appropriate set up of meeting rooms or functions as well as assisting and serving food and beverage to guests.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Set function space as per instructions on Banquet Event Orders
- Set tables with linen, dishware and flatware
- Greet guests in a cordial manner as they arrive
- Carry food trays to the tables
- Ensure that food is replenished in a quick manner
- Deliver beverages as per guests’ instructions
- Anticipate guests’ needs continually and fulfill them appropriately
- Clear dishes, flatware and reset the space once the event has ended
- Adheres to provincial liquor control laws
- Adheres to food safety regulations, hygiene and brand cleanliness standards
- Follow direction of Banquet Manager or Banquet Captain
- Other duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Serving It Right Certification (preferred)
- Bartenders must have 2 years’ experience and be knowledgeable in mixed drinks
- Physical mobility, stamina and the ability to lift a minimum of 20lbs for event setup and takedown
- Ability to work in a fast paced and multi-tasking team environment
- Great conversational skills and teamwork abilities
- Positive outlook and outgoing personality
- Previous banquet serving experience or related experience is considered an asset
