Financial Analyst

We're looking for a** Financial Analyst **to join our Finance team. The FA will be reporting to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for financial analysis and sales commissions.

**What You'll Be Doing**
- Planning and Analysis_
- Help prepare and update the budget and forecast model after closing month-end by working closely with the Sr Accountant and Director of Finance and Accounting
- Assist with updating financial and corporate KPIs, build and maintain reports and dashboards with relevant information to facilitate management decisions
- Analysis and support of strategic initiatives by validating data, updating assumptions, and performance measurement reporting
- Support the analysis of drivers of subscriber behaviour through correlation analysis, benchmarking and trend analysis, and suggest areas of improvement to support revenue generation, acquisition and retention initiatives
- Work closely with the Sr Accountant and Operations team on cost management initiatives
- Assist with building hypotheses and models to provide actionable insights to the executive leadership team
- Investigate the possible root causes of revenue leakage and inefficient processes, mitigating risk and undesirable outcomes
- RevOps_
- Own the commission execution process, and calculate periodic commissions, bonuses and spiffs.
- Ensure accuracy and act as a data steward for commissions-related data stores for implementation of a commission system and data warehouse.
- Maintain and improve the commission model, and help automate processes for extracting, validating, and transforming data.
- Maintain commission agreement changes, update templates, ensure documents and versions are stored properly by co-ordinating with the People team.

- Proactively research ways to improve the company's processes and scalability
- Suggest process improvements to ensure efficient revenue recognition and cost management, collaborate with stakeholders including sales, customer success, delivery, growth and the management team
- Co-ordinate with stakeholders' process changes and/or communications as required
- Ensure processes are effectively managing cash leakage
- Proactively automate tasks to minimize human error and create efficiencies

**What You Bring**
- 3 years experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and/or revenue operations, preferably with a subscription-based or SaaS-related business
- Bachelor's degree in commerce/business/economics / other degrees in a relevant field is required, CA/CPA required (or is in progress)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders of all levels, internally (cross-departmentally)
- Possesses exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong drive to identify and resolve issues
- High attention to detail and an affinity for building scalable revenue-related processes
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (data models, connected spreadsheets and data stores, advanced formulas, etc.)
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving role within the organization
- Previous experience with CRM platforms (SalesForce, ChurnZero) and payment and billing platforms (Stripe, Chargebee) is an asset
