Requisition ID: 172506 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **Purpose** Contributes to the overall success of Global Operations ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Responsible for preparing the Executive Reporting package and end-to-end delivery of data-driven solutions. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. **Accountabilities**: - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge - Builds and maintains effective relationships and keeps cross-functional lines of communication with data delivery network and report stakeholders - Runs integration, transformation, validation, and analysis of financial/operational/customer data for calculating key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) sourced from diverse teams in Global Operations, Finance and Human Resources. Ensures all indicators presented in executive dashboards and stored in historical databases are accurate, complete, consistent, unique, and timely - Produce executive dashboards and business partners’ reports in Power BI to assess the performance against targets/benchmarks and prepare ad hoc requests. Develops and keeps up-to-date clear documentation for KPIs & Indexes, as well as multiple data management processes - Demonstrates advanced knowledge in data mining techniques, preferably Power BI (leveraging Power Query and DAX), SQL and Python - Proactively supports data-based decision making across operational functions by identifying analytical prospects in data an delivering actionable insights to business partners. Works collaboratively with business partners to drive the identification of key opportunities/use cases - Continuously improve and automate processes for data collection, consolidation, and reporting - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment **Education / Experience** - University degree in analytics, data science, engineering, statistics, business, finance, or related fields - 3+ years of experience in reporting and analyzing financial/operational data - Advanced knowledge of Power BI and DAX - Experience with SQL and Python is a strong asset - Familiarity of Commercial Banking products, services and policies/procedures is required - Demonstrated attention to detail in ensuring accuracy of data collation and reports - Able to focus on multiple initiatives concurrently to efficiently balance time - Positive attitude and ability to effectively work with team members in achieving common objectives - Good interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with various levels of management - Strategic influencing skills - Ability to identify innovative solutions and champion continuous improvement Location(s): Canada : Ontario : North York || Canada : Ontario : Ajax || Canada : Ontario : Mississauga || Canada : Ontario : Scarborough || Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
