**Position**:Accounting Clerk
**Reporting to**: Accounting Supervisor
We are looking for an organized and driven Accounting Clerk to join our growing team. The Accounting Clerk position will work closely with our General Accountant and Senior Managers and handle day to day bookkeeping. We are looking for a passionate individual to join our organization and revitalize our recordkeeping and bring more organization to our day-to-day financials.
**Education and / or Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience can be substituted
- Minimum 1 years’ experience working in an accounting environment
- Experience with billing through Quickbooks, experience in HCAI an asset
- Prior experience in IME industry is an asset
- Bilingualism (French) is an asset
**Qualifications/Skill Set Requirements**
- University/college degree (preferred)
- Strong organization, attention to detail and reporting skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong computer skills - typing at least 35 words per minute, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills required
- Ability to communicate initiatives, results, and analysis to controller
- Maintain an excellent standard of quality on all work performed
- Initiative to find new ways to improve efficiency; results
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and perform work with mínimal supervision
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to promote a positive team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
- Strong problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, and multitasking skills.
- Must possess strong tendencies for accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize work activities and manage time efficiently
- Solid working knowledge of PIPEDA/PHIPA and best practices
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to the following**:
- Perform invoice preparation and processing per operation system
- Review and monitor outstanding sales order to ensure timely billing of transactions. Be able to research unbilled balances.
- Follow AP and AR aging in time
- Providing internal and external auditing assistance for businesses and individuals
- Reconciliation of balance sheet account
- Tax filling including HST/GST/Payroll tax/ WSIB/EHT
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliation
- Maintaining monthly general ledger
- Preparing year end files and analysis
- Preparing bank reconciliation
- Interact with internal & intra-office departments to resolve project specific discrepancies
- Prepare all government remittances (taxes, EHT & WSIB) and make payments in the bank
- Strong customer/vendor focus/excellent relationship with team
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
- Performing additional administrative assignments in accordance with direction
**Job Type**: Full-time, 37.5 hours a week
**Salary**: $33,221.00-$36,000.00 per year
