This position is responsible in managing the day-to-day operations of Performance and Reporting Functions related to the Hospital sector and the overall Funding Allocation of HSPs (Health Service Provider) in the Toronto Region. This includes but not limited to, Hospital sector’s Performance management, Issue management, Volume management, as well as the reporting functions to ensure that the Health Service Providers within the region meet the performance and quality targets that align with the goals and objectives of Ontario Health.

As part of this role, the manager oversees staff who are contributing to the Performance, Reporting and Funding Allocation function and ensure the funding allocation framework, PM policies and reporting requirements are successfully maintained. This manager also acts as a liaison with HSPs (Health Service Provider), Finance Leads, OH corporate staff and provides support to the Director, Performance, Accountability and Funding Allocation (Hospitals & Reporting) and management as required.

Here is what you will be doing:
- Manages the timely submission of HSPs program reporting and performance reporting activities including contract and performance metrics, develops summary reports and provides proactive and timely advice to Director of PAF (Hospitals and Reporting) related to Operational and Healthy System Performance, identifies HSPs financial risks and improvement opportunities/mitigation strategy- Manages and monitors Ministry and OH requests and ensure deadlines are met- Oversees the preparation of HSPs dashboards, scorecards and presentation material summarizing HSP performance and highlighting risks that may impact provincial and regional goals- Develops frameworks for performance and escalation process, project evaluation and monitoring, including the infrastructure to track key indicators, funding allocation at the regional level, ensure alignment with corporate approaches- Implements and monitors the Ministry programs, including provincial programs and volume management reallocation including but not limited to QBP, and Wait times program. Provide accurate and timely advice and summary to Director in identifying opportunities to improve regional performance- Develops Funding allocation methods and summary reports for Hospital sector Performance management- Manages HSPs performance management and the monitoring of funding allocation activities, including performance monitoring, HSPs compliance and escalation- Prepares Briefing Note, HSP Performance and Finance Analysis Summary report related to the interpretation of key outcomes for various HSP Programs and Ministry Initiatives- Prepares response and documentations related to Auditor general audits- Provides direction to Leads/Performance Specialists in completing HSPs Performance analysis and provides summary reports to Director- Provides support for OH Toronto hospital escalated implementation issues, ensuring escalation to appropriate stakeholder groups when necessary and provides project management support, analyzes, and interprets OH and government policies and guidelines to support key strategic and operational initiatives involving HSPs in Ontario Health Toronto.- Maintains strong working relationships with HSPs and Ministry of Health in support of proactive/effective performance, issue management and completion of SAAs from inception to completion, including the development of work-back schedules- Identifies and transforms raw data into meaningful performance metrics and establish appropriate targets by using data reporting tools; develops and ensure effectiveness of methods in HSP data collection and manages the timely submission of Ministry/OH requests- Leads internal planning groups and working group as appropriate as requested- Assists Director in the development of key presentation and engagement materials for HSPs meetings- Work collaboratively with Director to develop and manage critical stakeholder relationships and consultations to resolve a range of highly sensitive service provider relationship management issues.- Implements performance initiatives in collaboration with the Director, Performance Management, Accountability, and Funding allocation with identifying and implementing innovative practices to further improve processes in alignment with the performance management strategy and framework- Work collaboratively with Director to develop and manage critical stakeholder relationships and consultations to resolve a range of highly sensitive service provider relationship management issues- Implements performance initiatives in collaboration with the Director, Performance Management, Accountability and funding allocation with identifying and implementing innovative practices to further improve processes in alignment with the performance management strategy and framework- Performs other duties as required
