**What you bring**:

- Ability to work overtime when required
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Cleaning and Sanitizing of all production rooms and equipment, machinery, equipment, utensil, floor, and communal staff areas
- Ensuring Food contact surfaces and Food processing equipment are adequately sanitized
- Ensure quality of cleaning meet company standards and requirements for areas and/or equipment assigned to clean
- Garbage removal from inside and outside of the processing facility
- Able to work independently and complete given task lists
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a cold environment (8C)
- Work cooperatively with the Maintenance/Production Departments to ensure internal parts of equipment are cleaned and sanitized;
- Follow the schedule for cleaning and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensures all equipment is assembled (if required) after cleaning is completed
- Responsible for ensuring all sanitation is performed efficiently and effectively for production.
- Adhere strictly to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) outlined for working in a food processing plant.
- Report all equipment problems to the Sanitation Supervisor to ensure equipment is operating properly each shift.
- Comply with all FVSP HACCP and safety standards
- Inspect meat products for defects, bruises, breaks or blemishes
- Use of knives or other poultry processing equipment
- Communicate with supervisors and/or lead hands, follow their direction
- Required to work in any department as needed

Relevant Experience: Any sort of food processing experience, forklift ticket, air ticket, WHMIS, food safe and first aid are all assets to this position but not required.
