**About this role**:
**Sunset Memorial Gardens** in Thunder Bay, Ontario** is currently recruiting for a **full-time** Groundsperson on a seasonal contract basis.

**Sunset Memorial Gardens** has over 20 developed acres and performs more than 250 interments annually. The property includes an onsite administration and sales office and indoor Mausoleum and Columbarium.

This position is based on a 40-hour work week and may change as required for the needs of the business including working overtime as required.

**Job Type: Full Time, Contract (May - September)**

**Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities**:

- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract is required.
- Mechanically inclined having either formal mechanical training or experience would be an asset.
- Heavy equipment operator’s training or certification would be an asset.
- A certificate in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) would be an asset.
- A team player, with a positive attitude and the ability to multitask and set priorities.
- Previous landscaping, horticultural and/or cemetery experience, and a demonstrated interest in working outdoors would be assets.
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.

**Responsibilities**:

- All aspects of cemetery care including customer service, memorial and monument installations, equipment maintenance and grounds maintenance.
