**About Us**:
Westside Montessori Early Learning Centre (WMA ELC) is a newly established licensed group care program in East Vancouver for children aged 30 months to 5 years. Rooted in Montessori principles and aligned with the BC Early Learning Framework, we are committed to fostering a nurturing, respectful, and inclusive environment where children thrive—and where educators feel supported and valued.

**Position Summary**:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate **Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA)** to join our founding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a Montessori-inspired environment, working alongside experienced educators in a purpose-built setting.

- Love working with young children and supporting their development
- Familiar with or open to learning Montessori methods
- A strong team player who values respectful communication and collaboration

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the lead educators with daily routines and classroom management
- Assist in preparing and maintaining a calm, organized, and engaging learning environment
- Supervise and guide children during play, activities, transitions, and meals
- Observe and document children's progress under the direction of the ECE
- Help foster a safe and positive space for all children to explore and grow

**Required Qualifications**:

- Valid ECEA Certificate and BC License to Practice
- Current First Aid & CPR-C certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector Screening)
- Minimum 25 hours/week availability starting August 2025
- Previous experience in a Montessori setting is an asset (training can be provided)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 37 per week
