Wheatland Dental in the beautiful Stonebridge area of Saskatoon, is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our dedicated team as a **Dental Administrator.**The Dental Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring a great patient experience.
**Responsibilities Include**:
- **Scheduling Maestro**: Check the daily schedule for accuracy and adapt as needed to ensure a smooth flow of appointments.
- **Phone Pro**: Answer and respond to telephone calls with professionalism, assisting patients with their inquiries and scheduling needs.
- **Patient Care Specialist**: Check in patients according to office protocol, verifying and updating patient information for seamless record-keeping.
- **Tech-Savvy**: File patient information into the practice management software efficiently and accurately.
- **Warm Welcome**: Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients as they enter and leave the office, making them feel comfortable and valued.
- **Patient Outreach**: Perform recall duties to ensure patients stay on track with their dental appointments.
- **Billing Guru**: Prepare claim forms for patients with dental insurance and assist in collecting payments as required.
- **Document Wizardry**: Enter insurance payments as required, and gather and accurately record insurance information from patients.
- **Financial Savvy**: Possess basic knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Aging Reports to support our business's collection activities.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Exceptional communication skills with patients and team members.
- Proficiency in computer software and understanding of clinical procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on tasks.
- Understanding of dental nomenclature and procedures can be trained.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism and customer/patient focus.
- Strong conflict resolution and time management abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and improve skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- 1-year of dental administration experience is an asset but not required.
- Familiarity with Dentrix and Practice By Numbers is considered an asset but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software.
- Grade 12 or equivalent is required, additional post-secondary administrative training would be an asset.
