**Responsibilities**:

- Review accounts on a regular basis to reduce delinquencies and repossessions
- Initiate manual outbound collection calls and follow-ups on past due accounts
- Collectively manage inbound collection calls
- Negotiate acceptable payment arrangements on delinquent accounts
- Escalate problematic accounts to the appropriate person
- Verify and update customer information
- Accurately document all communications in the collections system
- Issue appropriate repossession notices in accordance with collection laws
- Other duties as assigned

Skills/Abilities:

- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting with mínimal supervision
- Ability to meet collections targets

Qualifications:

- 2+ years collections experience required
- Knowledge of the automotive industry considered an asset
- Knowledge of federal and provincial collection laws
- Excellent computer skills with specific proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Effective and polite phone etiquette
- Excellent organizational and time management skills

Work remotely**:Hybrid; some days at office and some days working remotely.**

**Two positions available**:
**1. 10:30am EST to 6:30pm EST**

**2. 12:00pm EST to 8pm EST**

Each shift is required to work one Saturday per month with a lieu day on Friday.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
