**About you**
- You use your basic knowledge with GIS software to create, maintain, and analyse spatial data (QGIS /ESRI)
- You bring knowledge of database concepts (Geo-Databases, PostgreSQL and other), data transfer and conversion strategies, and data processing solutions.
- knowledge of manipulating data using extract, transform practices in FME is an Asset.
- You excel at completing tasks and conducting QA/QC of data for implementation into CATALIS systems.
- You have a strong sense of urgency and pride yourself on delivering client’s projects on time and with high quality
- You have a keen ability to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions.
- You regularly demonstrate you strong communication, presentation skills, and familiarity with project management

**What you bring to the team**
- Be currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution, preferably in GIS
- Knowledge and basic experience of GIS mapping - FME is an asset
- A keen interest and experience in Municipal government, primarily in smaller, rural settings
- Attention to detail with strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize ongoing projects and tasks
- Strong ability and willingness to learn
- Currently a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Canada

**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 8 months

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
