St. Lawrence Youth Association has an immediate need for

**Casual Residential Youth Justice Workers**

***To assist youth in conflict with the law, 12 to 17 years of age, in a secure custody facility.

University degree preferred and/or community college diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in psychology, criminology, social work, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience working with high-risk youth.
- Criminal reference check declared suitable for vulnerable sector employment _within 30 days prior to hire,_
- Up to date Immunization status according to national standards, _including proof of prior Two-step TB testing._
- _ Covid 19- second dose and boosters as appropriate_
- Current First Aid / CPR-C certificate,
- Valid class G driver’s license.
- Bilingualism and volunteer experience are assets.

Applicants for a Casual Residential Youth Justice Worker must be available to attend a **mandatory** training period (anticipated start late August, full paid days, exact dates TBA) **and be able to work a shift schedule consisting of immediate call in and predetermined shifts, including days, evenings and weekends**.

Wage: $21.69 per hour plus 10% in lieu of benefits.
