Logistics Coordinator Career Opportunity

The Dufresne Group is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator for our Logistics Team within our Home Office located at 147 Commerce Drive in Winnipeg, MB.

As a Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating, tracking and troubleshooting our inbound logistics network. You will work closely with the Supply Chain, Purchasing, Distribution and Transportation departments to optimize the logistics network.

**As a Logistics Coordinator, you will**:
Coordinate third party carrier and internal fleet transportation for product being sourced (domestically, from the US and internationally), moving internally (from one warehouse to another) and moving for contractual customers

Use an entrepreneurial attitude to analyze and execute opportunities within network

Track transportation for product being sourced (domestically, from the US and internationally), moving internally (from one warehouse to another) and moving for contractual customers

Communicate with vendors, carriers and internal customers

Maintain and manage purchase orders and transfers on internal ERP system

Administer accounts payables/receivables responsibilities of freight coordinated by the logistics department

Assist in the administration of invoicing of freight for contractual customers

Assist in the sourcing and negotiation of freight rates.

Ensure network optimization.

Work with carriers on performance tracking and management.

Recognize problems and opportunities within our logistics network and take constructive action to enable improvements.

High School Diploma

2+ years’ experience in a logistics role.

University degree or designation would be considered an asset (degree in business/supply chain/logistics, P. Log, CCLP, C. Log)

Demonstrates analytical, decision-making, problem solving, communication and organization skills.

Outstanding attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize is required.

Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office products and ability to learn in-house computer programs
