**Addiction Worker (25-0000174)**
***Bargaining Unit: Unifor SMSC**
**Status: Casual**
**Site: Crossroads Centre**
**Shifts: Days/Evenings/Nights including weekends**
**Rate of Pay: $28.11 - 28.70 per hour**
***Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor - Evening Live-in Treatment Program, or Clinical Supervisor of Crossroads Centre, the Addiction Worker is responsible for assisting in the delivery of treatment services for client of Adult Addiction & Problem Gambling programs. Key responsibilities include: providing information and direct enquiries for services, supporting and monitoring client through entry and engaging in the continuum of treatment services, (pre, post, live-in treatment, and aftercare supports) the facilitation of group activities, and ensuring the maintenance of security and upkeep of the facility and program resources.**

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience**:

- **Minimum of a two-year Diploma in Social Services or Addictions field**:

- **Minimum of one year experience working with Adult Addiction clients in a congregate setting or community-based programs**

***Skills/Abilities**:

- **Working knowledge of addiction issues, crisis management and conflict resolution skills**:

- **Well-developed written and oral communication skills and excellent time management skills**:

- **Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team**:

- **Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills**:

- **Thorough understanding of all aspects of substance abuse and/or problem gambling**:

- **Demonstrated regular attendance at work**

***Asset**:
**Knowledge of working with DBT, CBT framework is an asset**

- **Ability to work irregular hours***:

- **Must undergo a successful Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)***:

- **Valid Ontario driver's License (Class G)**
