**JOB DESCRIPTION CHILD CARE WORKER IN UK**

We are looking for an emotionally intelligent child social worker to act as advocate and help people foster their capacities and coping mechanisms in order to improve and better their daily lives and experiences with specific standards and timescales. Child Social Workers labor to ensure the wellbeing and welfare of children, as well as their families

**Responsibilities**
- Address legal Issue such as Discipline and child abuse
- Find, arrange or provide for support services, prenatal care, child care, counselling, parenting classes.
- Arrange for pshychratic, medical and other test as necessary
- Work in adolescent and child residential.
- Serve as liaison between school, family services, student, home, court, doctor and other contact to help children who face challenges such as poverty / disabilities/ abuse.
- Place children in institutions, adoptive, or foster homes or medical treatment.
- Recommend Temporary Foster care£
- Determine adopters eligibility for financial status.
- Establish and lead counselling sessions which provide support in such area as stress, grief chemical dependency

**Requirements and skills**
- Proven 3plus years’ experience as a social workerGood Communication skill in English
- Working knowledge of social theories and practicesSocial perceptiveness and empathy
- Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationship
- Ability to relate and communicate with diverse population and groups
- Willing to submit background check
- Awareness of other reactions and understanding why they react as they do
- Ability to give full attention to what social services client are saying, understand the points being made, ask questions and not interrupt, inappropriately.
- Capacity to absorb procedural / legal information
