- ***:_The Coffee Shop Staff will advance the goals as defined by the Volunteer Council by following all policies/procedures and assigned tasks ensuring excellent customer service._
- **REPORTS TO**:_ _Manager, Volunteer Services _
- **DATE REQUIRED**:_ _As soon as possible _
- **SALARY**:_$17.50 per hour_**QUALIFICATIONS**:_
- Secondary school diploma with experience in food service; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. _
- Current Safe Food Handling Certification, or a willingness to obtain this certificate_
- **EXPERIENCE**:_
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff and patients_
- Ability to operate with a high level of independence, sound judgment and decision-making skills_
- An understanding/experience with POS (point of sale) and cash register procedures_
- **SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:_
- To liaise with customers ensuring they are greeted with a smile and a helping hand_
- Conduct and present oneself in a professional manner_
- Be able to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HPHA’s policy_
- Be reliable, and flexible _
- Adapt to change_
- Be a team player and take direction from lead staff._
- Be health and safety conscious and WHMIS knowledgeable_
