Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Program Support Manager, the incumbent shall pick up and deliver patients to appointments and other institutions/facilities in Edmonton, the surrounding area and occasionally to different locations through the province. In addition, they will be required to transport and unload mail, hospital equipment, medical supplies and other material as deemed necessary and appropriate between all Recovery Alberta (RA), Alberta Health Services (AHS), Caritas Health Group sites supported by AHS / RA and any other health facility as required. The position will require the safe operation of AHS vehicles from mini-vans to single axle 1-ton and 5-ton truck and buses. Casual relief of permanent drivers. Shifts range from 4 to 8 hours, during the day and on weekends.
Description:
As a Driver II, you will be responsible for the transportation of a range of products including but not limited to mail, pharmaceuticals, medical surgical supplies, beds, medical equipment, food, mail and linen, in accordance with accepted AHS standards, regulations and policies. You will pick up and deliver patients to appointments and other institutions/facilities. In addition, you will deliver patient trays, equipment and medical supplies to institutions/facilities.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Must hold a valid Class 5 Alberta Operator's Licence. Completion of valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certificate.

One to two years related experience. Class 2 Driver’s License Air Brake Certificate. Current CPR.
