As**the **Coordinator, Hockey Communications**, you will play a vital role in media relations by offering essential written and creative support primarily within the Hockey Communications department.

**What to be excited for in this role**:

- Attend all Winnipeg Jets home games and take an active role in preparing the press box ahead of every Winnipeg Jets home game.
- Collaborate on the creation and distribution of impactful media releases for the Winnipeg Jets.
- Take primary responsibility for the creation, design, and data entry of Hockey Communications publications including annual media guide, development camp guide, training camp guide, playoff guide, and year-in-review publication.
- Produce and supervise the timely and accurate production of game notes for each Winnipeg Jets game.
- Deliver daily statistical updates to media partners, providing essential insights into team performance.
- Maintain accuracy across team-related data, including transactions, player details, and scheduling across all digital and print platforms.
- Keep a dynamic and accurate media contact list to facilitate efficient communication for the department.
- Provide valuable statistical analysis and compelling written content for the Winnipeg Jets Game Night program.
- Coordinate with the Senior Manager, Communications to update NHL and other leagues on all necessary team, organizational, and media information throughout the calendar year.
- Recruit, organize, and supervise game night interns while overseeing their duties in the press box at each Winnipeg Jets game.
- Engage directly with the team, attending daily media availability in the Winnipeg Jets dressing room and during Head Coach press conferences as needed.
- Undertake other duties as required that are consistent with the responsibilities of the role and the needs of the organization.

**What we need from you**:

- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, backed by a diploma or degree in a relevant post-secondary program.
- Demonstrated expertise in hockey and hockey statistics.
- Proficiency with key software tools, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and social media programming platforms.
- Superior professionalism paired with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, management, suppliers, and media partners.
- Developing proficiency in web publishing tools and content management systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost discretion and maintain confidentiality across all stakeholder interactions.
- A foundational understanding of corporate media relations theory.
- Must be flexible with working evenings, weekends, and holidays as per game schedules.
