**HEALTH AND SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE (#1815AB)**

**HOURS: 7:00AM TO 3:30PM (variable as needed) GRADE: 9**

We are looking for an experienced **Health and Safety Representative** to join our HR Team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, your role will be to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all Team Members working in a regional Dealer Support Centre. To support and drive health and safety programs and processes that address incidents, work towards reducing incidents, and enabling preventative behaviors within the workforce.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Incident investigation, reporting, tracking, participation, follow up.

Disability Management for all WCB claims and injuries including RTW, reporting and tracking.

Administrate and support all health and safety committee activities, including agenda, taking minutes, and coordinating monthly inspections.

Collaborating with government officials, division managers, peers, and corporate stake holders to ensure health and safety compliance.

Maintenance of all first aid and PPE by site, including all fire hoses / extinguishers.

Coordinate and facilitate external safety training events such as first aid, fall arrest, lock out tag out (LOTO).

Coordinate fire safety activities including drills and providing training and support to fire crew.

Conduct periodic Health and Safety System Audits.

Conduct inspections related to Working at heights and equipment review.

Maintain all Health and Safety records including but not limited to WCB reports, inspections.

Other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
College Diploma preferably with a Health and Safety focus.

Minimum 3 years of job specific experience.

Ability to interpret legislation.

General to advanced computer skills, including specialized Health and Safety programs.

Skilled at accident reporting.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written
