**Lane Closure Technicians and Traffic Control Persons**

**Position**: Lane Technician and Traffic Control Person
**Location**: Lower Mainland & Vancouver Island

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices (cones, barricades, signs) in line with traffic management plans.
- Direct traffic flow using hand signals, signs, and flagging equipment to protect motorists, pedestrians, and work crews.
- Execute lane closures, diversions, and transitions to ensure safety during roadwork and construction activities.
- Monitor and adjust traffic controls to minimize delays and disruptions.
- Collaborate with project managers, construction crews, and local authorities to support smooth traffic operations.
- Maintain a safe work environment, reporting hazards, accidents, or incidents promptly.
- Assist with basic maintenance of vehicles and equipment to ensure operational readiness.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification. BCCSA.
- Knowledge of traffic control regulations and safety standards.
- Capable and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid BC driver’s license.
- Prior experience in traffic control or a related field is preferable.

Pay: $19.00-$35.00 per hour
