Position - Procurement Specialist
Reporting to - Director of Supply Chain & Engineering

Main Responsibilities
- Purchase the supply of our raw materials and packaging components at the best possible price, while balancing various factors such as: lead times, supplier quantity breaks vs client orders and/or forecast, shelf-life, foreign exchange, etc.
- Manage and build supplier relationships.
- Find alternative solutions / strategically source alternative suppliers to ensure optimal control of supply chain
- Communicate with manager and company employees about developments or changes that will impact the production schedule due to procurement delays
- Verify supplier invoices vs. purchase orders and resolve price discrepancies. Work with Importfab and supplier accounting departments
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task
- Support sourcing of new suppliers & support purchases for new product developments
- Coordinate non-conformances with Quality Assurance and suppliers
- Packaging - coordinate with suppliers: approved artwork, changes, etc.
- Participate in planning and production meetings / raw material procurement info
- Complete other tasks requested by manager or other colleagues within the organization

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- Persuasive communication & negotiation skills, cost conscientious (fully loaded costs)
- Good understanding of the market dynamics and trends
- Comfortable in multinational environment, challenges status quo and is improvement centric such as supplier consolidation
- IT savvy: advanced skills in Excel for cost tracking and use of ERP
- Charismatic, highly motivated, energetic, supplier/customer-oriented, team player
- English and French, written and spoken, necessary
- Ambitious, sense of urgency, accountable, persistent and result -orientated
- Excellent people skills; relationship builder with an outgoing personality
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in buying raw materials & packaging within a manufacturing environment
- University or College Degree

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year
