YMCA of Northern Alberta is seeking an Aquatics Manager to foster a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all individuals while being responsible for effective supervision and risk management of the aquatic programs. The Aquatics Manager will develop strategies to enhance the member experience, drive improvements in member retention, program quality, and overall satisfaction, in line with YMCA policies and procedures.

- Lead the Aquatics team by overseeing the recruitment, training, coaching and management of all staff and volunteers
- Ensure the program and service experience for members and participants consistently meets and exceeds YMCA standards and supports membership retention and the Health, Fitness, & Aquatics unique value product, family.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager to establish and adhere to annual budget and program priority plans while ensuring timely execution of annual priorities in each Centre
- Work with Aquatics Operations Coordinators to ensure adherence to and management of annual budget plans
- Support Program Manager to ensure programs and services evolve with YMCA Canada updates, established trends, member or community demands or agreed best practices
- Cultivate and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with staff, volunteers and external partners and stakeholders.
- Support the General Manger with branch operations at assigned HFA Centres.

**What You'll Need**
- Minimum 2 years experience in a program leadership capacity.
- University degree in Recreation, Physical Education or any other related qualification is an asset.
- Certifications: Intermediate First Aid & CPR-C, National Lifeguard (NL) Pool, must hold one of YMCA Swim Instructor (YSI) or Lifesaving Instructor (LSI)
- Must be willing to obtain Lifesaving Swim Instructor (LSI) and YMCA Champion - Aquatics within 1 year of hire date.
- Obtain Oxygen Administration (O2) within 6 months of hire date.
- Aquatics Emergency Care (AEC) and National Coaching Certification (NCCP) are an asset.
- Leadership Certification in Aquatic Supervisor Training (AST), National Lifeguard Instructor (NLI) or First Aid Instructor (FAI) is an asset.
- Able to obtain a Police Information Check with Vulnerable sector check.
- Ability to maintain related certification-level requirements.
