**ESTIMATOR**
- **Position Summary**_

Reporting to the General Manager, the Estimator is responsible for coordinating and administering the tender process from start to finish for all assigned bids. Additionally, they will support the Project Managers in the activities and functions that impact the assigned projects’ financial metrics and schedule. The Estimator supports the preparation, coordination, and communication of project set up, documentation, information flow, and milestones of upcoming projects.
- **Key Responsibilities**_
- Responsible for the maintenance and quality of information in company bidding software.
- Perform a detailed analysis of contract documents and specifications to determine all project requirements, opportunities, and risks.
- Coordinate the tender process from site visits to submission.
- Review drawings and enter all relevant information into company bidding software to determine project cost estimates.
- Request and compile all required information from internal and external sources, such as company information, construction methodology, insurance, safety, etc.
- Assign pricing to job scopes.
- Conduct formal bid review meetings with management.
- Create final tender packages and submit to clients.
- Assist with proposal and prequalification process.
- Maintain, gather, and provide updated data for the Project Managers internal and external project stakeholders.
- Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project.
- Coordinate the project procurement, including all vendors and subcontractors.
- Review tender pricing versus actual with General Manager/Controller as necessary.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
- **Skills, Abilities & Attributes**_
- Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements.
- Demonstrated critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
- Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and software.
- **Education & Experience**_
- 2-5 years experience in construction estimating, preferably underground.
- Any additional relevant experience or certification will be considered an asset.
