As a Corporate Consultant with the Chief Operating Office (COO), you will work with cross-corporate teams to advance key initiatives that deliver on Council priorities and improve quality of life for Calgarians. The Corporate Consultant is responsible for providing corporate leadership, facilitation and consulting services, improving organizational capacity, opportunity identification and resolution, while promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation and trust. Primary duties include:

- Lead or support projects related to the implementation of major priorities within our organization. This includes project and change leadership in support of corporate-wide goals, understanding or developing scope, outcomes, deliverables, timelines, measure of progress.
- Facilitate sessions, conversations, and prepare materials as relevant to advancing projects and programs. Including brokering connections, eliciting perspectives, problem definition, and/or preparing presentations, key messages, memos, action items.
- Support organizational strategic alignment through analysis, synthesis, and communication of a wide range of information, with objectives of supporting the direction and focus areas of the Chief Operating Office.
- Provide leadership and expertise to a wide range of emerging issues facing the Corporation, providing context awareness, focus on outcomes, and an objective and corporate perspective on interdepartmental opportunities and challenges..
- Participate in other projects, such as annual work plans and team development.

**Qualifications**
- A Master's degree (MA, MBA or a Masters in Public Administration) with at least 4 years' relevant experience; OR a Degree with at least 8 years' relevant experience; OR a degree with at least 8 years' relevant experience.
- Experience in client-facing advisory services, such as management consulting or corporate strategy is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to lead through influence without authority, build trust and resolve conflicts within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to realize shared outcomes through effective collaboration and facilitation.
- Strong communications skills, with experience in simplifying and distilling key concepts for reports and presentation to senior leaders, such as the ELT and/or Council.
- Ability to manage organizational dynamics and politics, alongside an understanding of the complexities of decision making in the public sector.
- Ability to adapt within a changing environment with competing priorities.
- Strong organizational skills (project planning, project management), consulting skills and/or team leadership skills.
