BGC South East is currently seeking the following position:
**Supervisor, Resource Development & Communications**

- 40h/week on Weekdays, occasional evenings and weekends.

- West End Community Centre (1300 Bath Road), may travel to or work out of other sites as needed
**Rate of Pay - **Commensurate with experience and education
**Overview**:
In the role of Supervisor, Resource Development & Communications, you will develop and implement a fundraising plan to advance the mission of BGC South East and Big Brothers Big Sisters of KFL&A to achieve goals for new and ongoing revenue. In particular, you will identify and pursue opportunities for funding proposals, sponsorships and partnerships that will yield annual revenues to support the operational costs of both organizations.You will supervise the Resource Development department comprising of 3-5 staff and work alongside a team of 15-20 Managers and Supervisors.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop a resource development strategy in consultation with the Associate Director of Resource Development & Communications. Typical components of this plan may include:
- Identification of potential funding sources
- Donor cultivation, recognition and stewardship activities
- Setting goals and targets for fundraising revenues
- Establishing a fundraising operating budget and timelines
- Marketing and planning for special events, and fee generating programs
- Ensures relevant databases or spreadsheets are developed and kept accurate and current.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement an annual communications plan, through a variety of mediums, including print media, social media, TV, and radio, in accordance with the approved brand strategy and existing policies.
- Design, implement and monitor an organizational process for donor cultivation, recognition and stewardship with the support of the Marketing & Communications and the Administration/Finance departments.
- Develop and build personal/agency relationships with past and current members, sharing news, stories, impact statements from volunteers, staff, children, keeping them engaged through social media forums.
- Support the annual marketing/communications plan through targeted recruitment in collaboration with Program Supervisors. Components of the plan include:
- Build Brand awareness
- Attend community events advocating for agency programs, recruiting mentors
- Support the recruitment of volunteer mentors at various companies and local
organizations
- Deliver marketing and special events promotion, including public speaking, radio ad
spots and other media engagements
- Provide support to special event fundraising activities throughout the year as
outlined in the organization’s annual plan.
- Identify and coordinate organization’s staff, volunteers, and members as
spokespeople to showcase our impact to new potential donors and supporters.
- Continuously review, grow, and innovate the organization’s resource development operations in consultation with the Associate Director of Resource Development & Communications and Executive Director. Input from the Board of Directors and senior employees shall be sought as appropriate.
- Develop and co-chair a Fund Development Committee, consisting of both internal and external members. Participate on additional committees as required.
**Job Requirements**:
- Post-secondary education in business, communications, or related fields; or equivalent combination of related education and professional experience.
- Fundraising experience is considered an asset.
- Sales and customer service experience is considered an asset.
- Experience managing teams, with proven leadership capacity, is considered an asset.
- CPIC/Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Driver’s license

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$63,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
