**Position Overview**

SideFX has been a Canadian software innovation success story - having developed the Academy Award-winning Houdini® software - used by the world’s top film, TV and game studios to create blockbuster movies like _Black Panther_ and _Thor_, TV shows like _Game of Thrones_, and hit video games like _Ghost Recon, Far Cry 5_ and _Spiderman_.

The Marketing Events Coordinator will support the coordination of all SideFX marketing events, and help guide the global Houdini User Groups.

**What you will be working on**
- Coordinate the annual Events & Houdini User Group events roadmap, including resource requirements and timelines for 20-30 overlapping programs throughout the year
- Provide input on budget required for each event and be accountable for ensuring events are executed within allocated and agreed to budget
- Prepare critical paths for all events, ensuring adherence to schedules and deadlines
- Support all aspects of event execution including coordination with team members, assigning specific elements of each event, venue sourcing/negotiation, food and beverage, staffing/volunteers, etc.
- Connect with and schedule industry-based speakers for our events
- Help optimize the overall SideFX event experience for customers, partners and employees
- Work with internal teams to coordinate event speakers for SideFX and User Group events, and manage speaker logistics on their behalf (eg. travel, hotel)
- Contribute to tactical KPIs and monitor / measure customer experience and make recommendations to stakeholders for future events - deliver event reports (pre
