About the role

**Position Description**:
The Wastewater Technician II is a mid-level position within the Industrial Wastewater operations at Reworld Waste. They are expected be experienced and capable to conduct industrial wastewater treatment on all water streams utilizing the various technologies and chemicals available to them independently. They will also be adept in petroleum recovery operations. The Wastewater Technician II will be proficient in waste stream sampling, tanker transfers, waste stream QA/QC, bench testing, waste stream treat code assignments, batch wastewater treatment, and basic petroleum recovery operations. They will be mechanically inclined to liquids management and troubleshoots for transfer operations. They will also be cross trained to conduct other blending and processing duties, including evaporation and non-bulk operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform basic chemical analysis such as pH, flash point, FOG, solids, PCB, Halogen, ICP-MS, and ammonia.
- Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, yard dog, high vac trucks, wheel loaders, excavators, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- Sampling tanker trucks and containers.
- Using a hose connection and unloading of tanker trucks.
- Performing waste stream QA/QC & lab analysis.
- Perform tank cleaning operations, including confined space entry
- Performing oil line and wastewater treatment line operations.
- Submit all associated paperwork, as required, for regulatory and safety record keeping requirements.

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma / GED required
- 2+ years of relevant experience in related field
- Boiler experience preferred
- Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, and twist for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to pass respirator fit test
- First aid/CPR/AED certification
- Experience with confined space entry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
