**Summary of Duties**
All operational functions of the café in City of London Seniors’ Community Centre.

**Work Performed**
All operational functions of café in City of London Seniors’ Community Centre. Duties include:

- Providing coffee/tea and pastries during program breaks
- Baking pastries and desserts for program breaks
- Planning and preparing lunches in café twice a week
- Planning, organizing and preparing food on site for 80 people for bi-weekly special events
- Cleaning up after café is open and after special events, including all dishes used throughout the day
- Submitting costing report to program coordinator after each event
- Directing volunteers on kitchen assignments and tasks
- Menu planning with program coordinator for special events
- Build relationships with Food Rep to place food orders and replenish stock as needed
- Weekly grocery shopping is required
- Maintaining all public health requirements for kitchen service
- Coordinating with supervisor on equipment that needs servicing or other equipment needs
- Balancing daily transactions
- Experience working well with others in a fast paced environment

**Qualifications/Experience**
Safe Food Handlers Certificate

Valid Police Check

Valid First Aid/CPR

Experience with Cash Handling

Computer experience an asset

**Compensation**
$17.00 per hour
