Advance Furniture Distribution (AFD) is the warehouse for the Atrium - Atlantic Canada's premiere home furniture destination and home to 3 furniture stores - Worldwide Furniture, Ashley Furniture HomeStore, and Gallery 1 Furniture.

AFD is looking to add a Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator to our professional team. This is a full-time position with guaranteed hours.

**Responsibilities**:

- Packing and loading/unloading product onto trucks
- Ensuring accuracy of orders;
- Assembling furniture;
- Assisting with customer pick-ups;
- Operating forklift as required in accordance with Company safety protocol to pick and place merchandise on racking;
- Helping out on the Trucks as needed - Assisting Driver with safe and timely delivery of product to predetermined customers on specific routes;
- Providing an exceptional experience for customers through professionalism and superior customer service
- General warehouse housekeeping duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Previous warehouse experience
- Current forklift certification (willingness to get combined with relevant experience may be considered);
- Previous experience moving/unpacking assembling furniture a strong asset (but willing to train)
- Ability to consistently lift 50+ lbs in a safe manner
- Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism
- Reliable
- Strong team player
